Terms and Conditions – Retro Caravan Holidays
We provide a caravan hire service only - any campsite fees should be paid to the owners of the caravan site separately. For stays at Penygraig Farm, clients pay their campsite fees to the farm owners when at the farm. For hires away from Penygraig Farm, clients are expected to book and pay for a caravan pitch at their chosen campsite/festival/pub garden separately. Proof of this booking will be required by Retro Caravan Holidays to ensure entry to, and delivery of our caravans to the correct place.
The damages deposit costs £150 per hire. This deposit will be taken at the time of full payment. It will be held until an inspection of the caravan and its contents is completed at the end of the hire period. The cost of any repairs/replacing contents/extra cleaning will be deducted from the deposit before it is returned. There is a fee of £20 for returning a caravan with the chemical toilet not emptied and rinsed out with clean water.
Damage deposits will be returned to the bank account they originated from (unless otherwise notified) within 7 working days of the end of the hire period.
Bookings can be taken via the website, Facebook page, email or text. Dates booked are provisional until full payment has cleared.
The cost of the hire and the damages deposit must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Any cancellations that you or we have to make due to Covid travel restrictions will be refunded in full.
In the event of a no show or a reduction in numbers after booking, the full cost of the booking will still be charged.
If YOU have to cancel your holiday for any reason, you must contact us immediately. Cancellations must be made more than 6 weeks in advance of the start date of the hire period in order to receive a full refund. The following cancellation fees apply:
Weeks until holiday start date:
6 weeks or more – Full payment and damages deposit will be returned
4-6 weeks – 50% of payment and full damages deposit will be returned
2-4 weeks – 25% of payment and full damages deposit will be returned
Less than 2 weeks – damages deposit will be returned only
We recommend that guests take out their own holiday insurance to cover any cancellation fees.
In the event that WE have to cancel your holiday for any reason, all monies paid will be returned.
Campsite Booking and Fees
Please book whichever campsite you wish, making sure you book a caravan pitch big enough (see below). Site fees must be paid directly to the site owner by yourself while at the site, or via their website. If booking for a festival, ensure you book a pitch for a caravan (these are sometimes called 'live-in' tickets). All our caravans are 12 feet long and a minimum of a 15' square pitch will need to be booked to fit in the awning.
Delivery and Collection Service
Delivery and collection to and from site is included in the hire fee for all caravan sites within a 20 mile radius of NP8 1HW. Delivery and collection will be charged at an extra £1 per mile both ways for any sites requested outside of this radius.
We recommend that a general holiday insurance policy is taken out by our customers, to cover any costs if you have to cancel your holiday. You are also advised to take out insurance to cover loss or damage to your valuables while you are away from home.
No responsibility is taken for loss or damage to personal possessions. Clients must ensure that they have their own insurance in place to cover personal possessions.
Site owners are entitled to ask you to leave our accommodation if they deem your conduct unacceptable. In this instance, you will not be entitled to have any monies refunded and Retro Caravan Holidays will not accept any other liability to yourselves. You are expected to show respect and courtesy at all times.
Well behaved dogs (max 2) are allowed by prior arrangement only. We expect all owners to clear up any waste and to dispose of it according to the site rules. Please be aware that there are livestock at Penygraig organic farm and owners are expected to be able to control their dogs. If any livestock are put in danger by client's pet dogs then they will be asked to leave immediately and no refunds will be issued.
No smoking or vaping is permitted in any of our caravans or their awnings.
We will keep your personal details on file and use them for our own marketing purposes only, and in order to contact you regarding your booking. Your details will not be used for any other purpose, and will not be passed on to any other companies. They will be kept secure by means of a password protected filing system.
